Worship Arts Festival

This Sunday morning, January 29 (FH Gathering Space)
Ever wonder what it’s like to ring a handbell, operate a puppet, be on stage, or help lead worship through song? Now’s your chance to check it out! Stop by the tables to meet with representatives from Epiphany Chorale, the Praise Teams, Puppets, Jubilate Bells, Epiphany Players Drama Ministry, and Children’s Choirs. You can also learn about Teen Choir, providing special music as an instrumentalist, upcoming opportunities to be in a skit, and what it means to Tell the Scripture. Mark your calendar now for this special event!

Save the Date! Super Bowl Party

Sunday, February 5, 5:30 PM until the game ends (Austin)
We'll have the big game on a giant movie screen plus the overhead monitors. Please bring a favorite tailgate snack to share (popcorn provided), BYOB in a cooler, and sideline/camp chairs. Far Hills Adult Education: Great Decisions Discussion Group – Starts this Sunday!

Sundays, January 29-March 25, 9 AM (FH Room 14)
This discussion class addresses world topics of current interest, with the format of a video back-ground presentation on each subject by knowledgeable commentators, readings from a resource book, and class discussion. Click here for this year’s Great Decisions topics from the Foreign Policy Association. Come join us to learn about these topics and acquire perspective of Christian response to them. The class is facilitated by Dave Neer and George Schmitt .

Monday Evening Book Study: God’s Story, Your Story by Max Lucado

Please note: No meeting on January 30 or February 13. The book is available for purchase online or at local Christian bookstores. The study guide will be available free of charge. Class facilitated by Andy Addy .

Bible Study for Seniors and Others: God Establishes a Faithful People

Tuesdays through April 3, 2 PM (FH Room 14)
Pastor Larry Hoffsis returns with his latest class – 13 studies in Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Galatians. The complete schedule with lesson titles and scriptures is at the Welcome Centers.

Women’s Bible Study

Wednesdays, 9:15-10:30 AM (FH Library)
Beginning February 1, this study group led by Pastor Sara will use Lectio Divina (Latin for divine reading) to listen to the scriptures. This is an ancient method of scripture study that involves quiet reflection as we listen to one of the scripture lessons that will be used in worship the upcoming weekend. There is no book to read or prep work, so this is a great time to try out this group and recharge your spiritual batteries! In March we will turn to Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Cost of Discipleship. If you would like the church to order a book for you ($9.50), please contact Pastor Sara by February 17.

New Puppet Open House – Come Try It Out

Designed for students in Grades 5-12 (Epiphany members and non-members), see what it's like to be a puppeteer! No experience required. Learn about puppetry, what goes on behind the scenes, and how puppets work – all in one session! For more information, please contact Ann Meyer .

Join us for our annual lock-in, full of surprises, adventures, fellowship, games, food, fun, and of course, a movie. Cost is $10 per child. Please register by contacting Sariela Bordner , or sign up on the Children’s Bulletin Board (in the Lower Level of the Far Hills Campus, across from the copier). Registration is required in order for to have enough materials for everyone.

Attention Parents of 3rd & 4th Graders – Provide a Bible to Your Child

To help parents fulfill their baptismal promise to place the scriptures in their children’s hands, and thanks to the generous benevolence of an Epiphany couple, Epiphany is proud to present an age-appropriate Bible to our 3rd and 4th graders. Interested parents may register their children to receive a Bible by contacting Jane Lane (433-1449 x 105). The following information is needed for registration: child’s name (as it is to be printed in front of Bible), birthdate (month, day, year), current grade level, and whether you attend the Austin or Far Hills Campus.

Blood Drive

Saturday, February 4, 8 AM-1 PM (FH Room 13)
If you are 16 or over, weigh over 110 pounds, and are generally in good health, please consider donating blood this year. Schedule your appointment at www.donortime.com or just show up. We also need helpers that morning and cookies (drop them off by that morning in the FH Kitchen labeled for the Blood Drive). For more information, contact Laura Rapoch .

Global Missions Task Force

Tuesday, February 7, 7 PM (FH Library)

The Task Force serves as the coordinating group for Epiphany-based mission teams in furthering relationships with partner congregations on three continents: Europe (Mecklenburg, Germany), Africa (East of Lake Victoria, Tanzania), and Asia (the Russian Far East). Members of the congregation who are interested in this ministry are encouraged to join the Task Force. For more information, contact Bob Hein or Terry Rapoch .

Pantry Soup Drive for Souper Bowl of Caring

February 4-5 (both campuses)

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement of people working to fight hunger and poverty in their own communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game. So look for grocery sales, clip those coupons, and bring in your soup cans before watching the big game. Pantry donation tubs are at both campuses. For more info, contact Jan Panning .
